Current government has been advocating the uniformity of syllabus across all provinces from Day 1. Recently, Federal Ministry of Education and Professional Training is in the process of designing a uniform syllabus but Government of Sindh has rejected the adoption of uniform syllabus. Sindh’s Chief Minister and Education Minister has said that this is the jurisdiction of provincial government after 18th amendment.
This decision of rejecting uniform syllabus was taken in the recent meeting of education department. Education Minister said that the syllabi which federal government is developing is different from one implemented in Sindh. CM also added that syllabus in Sindh is better than what federal government is planning. In order to answer Federal Government, CM has advised Education Minister to draw a comparative analysis between the syllabi and present a report to him.
